CAI Builders Alliance Program

Overview

CAI recognizes the value of builders and developers within the community association

industry. The Builders Alliance was created as an opportunity for builders and

developers to have access to valuable resources and information for their community

boards and residents.

The Builders Alliance has two main components:

1. Free Resources. The program offers free resources for builders/developers to

offer their boards and residents purchasing homes in their communities.

Resources include:

a. Community Matters

b. Rights & Responsibilities

c. Governed by Neighbors

d. Introduction to Community Association Living

e. Best Practice Report – Transition from Developer Control

2. Free six-month trial membership. The program allows builders/developers to

give a free trial membership (compliments of CAI) to up to two people in each of

their community associations under developer control. This six-month

membership will include all of the benefits offered by the national office.

Chapters will have the opportunity to define their participation in the trial

membership. Here are a few options:

a. ALL benefits of chapter membership; including a membership directory,

newsletter distribution, invitation to events, and the opportunity to attend

chapter events at the member price;

b. Modified version of chapter benefits; including invitation to events via

email, electronic newsletter, opportunity to attend chapter events at the

member price (this one will exclude membership directory and

newsletters);

c. Chapter modified version (custom by chapter).

Timeframe

The program will be marketed and begin in early fall of 2006. Promotional materials

including advertisements for newsletters and a PDF version of the Builders Alliance flyer

will be sent to chapters. CAI’s membership department will send these materials

directly to builder/developer members and to CAI Recruiters.
